Local family database Südheide

The databank includes 7252 names from the area of the following parishes: Munster, Eimke, Wriedel, Gerdau, Ebstorf, Dorfmark, Müden/Oertze, Hermannsburg and Eschede, belonging to the former counties of Ebstorf, Bergen, Winsen/Aller or the district of Hermannsburg (all situated in the triangle formed between Soltau, Uelzen and Celle).

It is based on the intensive research of Heinirch-Hermann von der Ohe (1898-1979) for the history "Family Tree of the Family Von der Ohe at Ober-Ohe." which was published in 1968 and a copy of which is in the State Archives at Bremen (Library "die Maus"). In this respect it is no complete Ortsfamilienbuch (local family history book), but rather a collection of people and families connected by marriages and famiy ties.

The sources were the churchbooks of all neighboring parishes and above all the Books of Official Acts at the State Archives in Hannover, in which Mr. Von der Ohe did research during his student years in the 1920's. This was still before most of these were destroyed during the course of World War II.
