Biografie nach einem Artikel in "Unser Strohgäu" vom 13.10.04:
Karl Knoll wurde am 11. September 1923 in Benningen am Neckar geboren, wo er auch in die Volksschule ging. Kaum hatte er Automechaniker gelernt, musste er 1942 in den Krieg, zunächst nach Nordafrika. Im Mai 1943 kam er in Gefangenschaft und blieb bis zum 30.06.1947 interniert.
Zurück in Benningen arbeitete er wieder als Kfz-Handwerker und nahm am 01.April 1948 eine Stelle in Möglingen an. Die tochter des Chefs hatte es ihm angetan und im September 1950 wurde geheiratet. |
