- Joseph L. Betz of 17 Dale St. died on Sunday, at the Stamford Hospital after a brief illness. Born in New York in 1880, he had been a resident of Stamford for 48 Years. He was a retired millwright. He was member of St. Augustine Council, K of C, the Eagles, the Carpenters´ Union and the St. Mary´s Holy Name Society. Mr. Betz is survieved by his wife, Mrs. Catherine Glynn Betz of Stamford; three sons, Joseph Betz of New York, J. Raymond Betz ang Arthur Betz of Stamford; Three daughters, Mrs. Frank Veit, Mrs. Harold Maillard, and Miss Winifred Betz, all of Stamford; Two brothers, John and Anthony Betz, both of Keene, N.H., and 11 grandchildren.
The funeral will be from the Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 20 Suburban Ave, on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. A requiem Mass will be at St. Mary´s Church at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John´s Cemetery.
- Joseph L. Betz von 17 Dale St. starb am Sonntag im Stamford Hospital nach kurzer Krankheit. Geboren 1880 in New York. Er war seit 48 Jahren in Stamford ansässig und ein pensionierter Mühlenbauer. Er war Mitglied des St. Augustine Council, K of C, der Eagles, der Carpenters´ Union und der St. Mary´s Holy Name Society. Mr. Betz hinterlässt seine Frau Catharine Glynn Betz aus Stamford, drei Söhne, Joseph Betz in New York, J. Raymond Betz und Arthur Betz in Stamford, drei Töchter Mrs. Frank Veit, Mrs. Harold Maillard und Miss Winifred Betz, alle in Stamford; zwei Brüder, John und Anthony Betz, beide in Keene N.H. und 11 Enkelkinder.
Die Beerdigung wird am Mittwoch um 9.30 Uhr ... stattfinden. Das Requiem ist um 10 Uhr in der Kirche St. Mary´s, die Beerdigung auf dem St. John´s Friedhof.
